Look I have a question for pr gurus. How can be a domain pr 5 with only 1 pr5 backlink?! http://checkpagerank.net/index.php?name=evayla.com&links=1 http://backlinkwatch.com <-- evayla.com Tahnks
I could see a 1 PR5 link passing on all of it's pr to one site. PR has changed a bit since the early days but it should work something like this. Each link on a page is passed a portion of the pr on the page - a dampening effect (.85). So if you are into math ... ((PR * 0.85) / total outbound links) ... would be the amount of pr passed. It's also important to note that PR is much more complex than a single digit interger so PR5 could be like PR5.89994958, right. So in this example ...$evayla = ((5.89994958 * 0.85) / 1) ... or PR5. Make sense? The page you specifically point to has exactly 5 links, but only 1 are outbound, The link to evayla.com. This makes that link very important to that page therefore is passed a ton of PR, whereas if evayla had to share that pr with 4 other sites it would be passed PR1 ... with 9 other sites it would be passed PR0.5. If you did that art, go lease the domain out if you can, it would be worth your time to bring it back up to par.
Right Even it's know all about the link weight you describe it's not possible for a PR5 to place one link to another site and from this one link to push the other site to the same PR. If the new site was stable 2-3 i would say ok but 5 ?
As you said, this is a question for PR gurus, not for domainers at all so you should get even better advice under the links development forum.
