I've seen this status appear only on domains registered via godaddy. It seems to be somehow related to "locking" the domain. I'm being speculative here...
Can you link to some authoritative source that clarifies that? I'm just curious as I searched for it & couldn't find anything.
but can i transfer it to another company like namecheap? i cant find anything when i search google and it seems to apply to only godaddy?
Very easy to find if one looks hard enough: http://www.icann.org/tlds/org/appli...ocols/rrp/draft-hollenbeck-rfc2832bis-01.html That and a couple of other status lines have been adopted since then. A .com domain name can be transferred to another registrar as long as all the conditions for transfer are met (e.g. beyond 60-days of registration). The line ClientTransferProhibited will change to OK when unlocked.
isnt CLIENTDELETEPROHIBITED and clientDeleteProhibit differnt thats y i couldnt find anything i was looking for clientDeleteProhibit
Both are the same meaning the domain cannot be cancelled and can be transferred, locked, modified or can be renewed.
