I got my first link sale from Text-links-ads I want to know, how much share do they take away ? Also when do they pay ? Also can anybody explain this stats Has the advertiser bought a link for 19 days only ? And why there is so much difference between monthly price and my earnings
Pretty much all of this is covered in their FAQ, but the short and the long of it is: Their cut is 50% Links are sold on a 30 day billing period, depending on the time of the month the link is purchased, it's prorated for that month, but you'll get the remainer next month. You'll be paid once per month if you meet the required min.
And how much do you get from Google Adsense? At least here everything is clear. But Adsense with all the smart pricing and stuff what % are you getting from advertiser money. I am sure it is not the officially proclaimed.
You get a higher percentage from Google. But that doesn't mean you get more money. That truely depends on the type of website. TLA is ideal for high-PR, low-traffic websites. On this type of websites, you can earn 5-10 times more with TLA than with Adsense. And anyway, you can put both.
I think 50% is fair. They do all the marketing, payment taking and making, and placing of the links. That is a big part of that business model, so half the money isn't bad IMO.
Yes you are right.. They are giving a nice platform for us.. I sold this link on PR4 site for $25/month ( 50% for me thats 12.5$ ) = But thats also a good price - because i would not get even 5$/month on this forum.
Yep 50% is little more it should be around 30% ... but they work hard to bring you genuine advertisers not dummy advertisers hunting cheap no quality links.
I agree with MattEvers, it's pretty fair. My problem is that I'm now one in a sea of sites. When they had fewer listings my site was found and links purchased. These days I get nothing because they list so many sites in each category. My site's a PR 5, but maybe it's my niche that's part of the problem, I don't know.
This is a bit of advice. When ever you or anybody joins an affiliate program, make sure you know what you are getting before you join it. I was rather shocked that you joined this site and didn't even know how much they were paying. The reasons why I say this is because you could join a computer / electronics site and earn 1% commission on sales and then if you done a little research and joined a different one you could have earned 10% or more for selling the same products. Now the difference here is that you will be making 10 times the amount of money. Anyway, congratulations on the advertising sale.
Thats easy to say.. But requires time and research to find the best one.. Thanks.. just sold a second TLA ads...
Well, I think TLA's is a good one anyway, so that was a good find lol. I know what you mean when it takes time and research, but if it takes you 1 week to do research and you manage to have a commisson of 10% instead of 1% after you have done the research then that extra money that you will earn to what you would have earn't will pay for that weeks worth of research time and time again anyway. Anyway, good luck again on your 2nd sale.
Congrats on your link sales. Funny thing happened to me. I applied to TLA months ago and was rejected for reasons that were all false. They never answered followup email where I pointed out they were mistaken. Gave a very bad impression of their competency. Then a couple days ago I get an email says I have been accepted. Nothing changed on the site so what happened, somebody with a brain finally read my email? The email they sent specifies a price range for the adds and the revenue cut. So that is clear. But it's too low to be worth the effort to even open the editor to add their code.
