The link number to your site decreased, or the PR of those links decreased. Read this page on wikipedia about PageRank for more info.
I guess it is not that easy for a link to be gone, for example if i posted a link in my signature here at DP or in an article direcotry (article) it will be permenant and never goes away, and the same thing will work for the PR of the sites linking to me. so still asking why i or they lose PR?
Maybe the algorithm changed and you don't have enough anymore. There are lots of possibilities. Just keep working and it should go back up.
Well, PR is not only about the links to your website/page .. but also the links to the pages that are linking to you. So, if you have same number of links which u had in past .. but some of them have lost their PR you will loose PR as well. Do some research on google about PR and read how the idea actually works, you will get better insight.
Some site use nofollow and I think Google change Algorithm. All you have to do is to continue build more quality links for your site.
page rank depends upon no and quality of backlinks. if backlinks going to down.it affects directly to page rank..it drops down automatically. page rank is directly proportional to backlinks.
yah i think that is 100% Right but IF a domain name has nearly 28.000 Result @ Google and When PR has been Recented My site WAS PR 1 !!!!!!!!!! Despite i ve 28.000 and decrased and decrased until became 17,900 aflmnat.Com (My Domain)
Agreed. I know for a while that if you had a myspace account and blogged there you would have backlinks. Now there is no follow from myspace as well as wikpedia. So thats rough.
But if you post an article with some links pointing back to your site, and half the web sites that run your article go down after six months you'll loose those links. So they're really not preferment at all. A web site can link to yours because they like it, but then kill that paragraph, decide they prefer a different site, or any number of things. Some of their links could be paid, and devalued. More important, though, some of the pages that link to you probably put up more links. All the link juice flowing out of a page gets divided equally among all its links.
When the SE algo changes, you may lose PR. Also, if your backlinks lose PR, you will experience a drop too.
