I loved IE when it was simple , now that they keep on adding stuff to it it slows down my browsing and every now and then it get corrupt Firefox is working for me
I agree IE was good before. They just tried to copy FF and other browsers with tabs and what not, and did not focus in the simple interaction of the past. Also the add-on's suck big time.
Yeh IE 6 was good, I really liked that one, but IE 7 is a clone of FF. I am really worried with this news, IE 8 means, one more browser to test your JS and CSS
They copy firefox to much with their tabs. Firefox will still remain the best if not for their power then for all their add-ons
But I must say that designmode of IE rocks, and that of FF sucks, really sucks. I dunno y they are not trying to fix it.
microsoft has discovered and invented a few new bugs, and they want to test them, so that's why i guess IE8 is comming out but then am already satisfied with the tabs of firefox, and i don't want to test anything else
Still sticking to FF 2.0.3. But for a new IE, i will have a try out and test. Cos maybe might review a little about it. Thanks. David Cheong.
Maybe the failure is exactly the reason they're going full throttle with IE8. they have the money and can afford a failure or two.
the article that the op here linked to even mentioned it would be at least a year before anything major comes about...
Im a Firefox guy. But I look forward to IE8, because it has to be better than IE7 (doesnt it?) All browser improvements will only help me as an internet user. I don't see how you can dread the coming of IE8...I look forward to it.
I use Mozilla Firefox with several addons to enhance my web browsing experience. I'm not interested in new Internet Explorer's yet!
I can not stand the placement of the menu on IE7, and it just seems bloated and slow when I use it. It was a toss up for me on which I liked better, FF or IE6. Then I upgraded to IE7 and have not used it since. It's seemingly bulky as all get out. I have 5 tabs open in FF with graphics and it's flying. Then I try to go to the Google Homepage and it takes over a minute to load. IMHO, there is just something wrong with IE7, so I look forward to seeing if they actually make it better with 8.
Lol, best part is whenever I try to uninstall IE7 to use my good old IE6, the browser windows start getting all screwy... Forcing me to reinstall IE7 to browse anything at all.
