Hello from FREE page listing service - FindMyPages.com

Hello to this forum. New to here.

Just create a new beta site that will allow people to list, share and broadcast their web site for free. Please check out my beta project at http://www.findmypages.com

It's a FREE page listing services that for everyone who have web site to publish. It's not another web directories, which don't limited by directories. It's a keyword based page listing.

Anyway, it's an experiment of my beta projects. Feel free to provide me suggestion.

It's pretty much finished at fron-end. Trying to experiment how people will share their links with others. Most people just want be listed but don't to list others.

I was trying to build a social network for pages, and want to see how quick it goes. Just got PR2 in less than a month after launch the site. Not a bad start.

Well. I called it beta because I am still uncertain that people are willing to share their web sites with that little badge code. It seems to me people just want to get listed on PR5+ sites and I am not there yet.

I am not trying to make $$$ with this site, since it won't be my profit source. I do want to created something different than web directory and help other people like me to get traffic.

I have more features need to put it up but don't really know if people are willing to pay for it, if they don't want to share.

Hmm...

PS. I do get quiet a bit traffic from search engine however the signup rate is kind of low. I am wondering what I did wrong.

I think one thing I did not do well for this site is that I did not express how to use the badge code. A small "search engine friendly javascript" code that will render the links to the pages you registered, which can be recognized by search engine (at least google).

You copy the code to you web sites. I mean web SITES. If you have access to many web sites or own many web sites. And you register all of them as page on http://www.findmypages.com. You can copy the badge code to as many web sites as you want (even the one is not registered), which will all link back to each others. So you are building the quality page links between your web sites.

That is the idea for list, share and broadcast your web pages. Of course, you can add friends and build network. You can give them the hearts. More hearts you get, the higher page position you will be on the findmypages.com and higher chance your pages will be index by search engines.

Isn't this sound to un-real or too crazy?

I don't see anywhere on the site where it tells exactly what the site does, other than on the signup page...

that needs to be on the homepage...or at least a big obvious button to 'about findmypages"...or something similar...that may be one of your problems...
