See running total cost of the war here http://nationalpriorities.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=182 Is it worth it?
This does not even include the other cost, like lives, damaged families, inflated prices on goods such as plywood, and many other cost of war. It's good to know though that Bush still thinks we are doing good and should stay the course! Just use http://nationalpriorities.org/
It helped the big companies! Not the little man, taxes up, gas up, food up, etc... Seen nothing it done for me except prove that Bush Sucks!
Well something happened to that web site for sure. It's down! and all other sites that used to display the counter are also down. How strange? Any way the Cost of Iraq War calculator is set to reach $456 billion September 30, 2007.
What would it buy? The current spending request would push the total for Iraq to $564 billion, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service. This article sums it all: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2003689462_warcost02.html If you are keen to view the counter, check it out here. It's running still on a cached page by google, they've missed that out! The page will open but very slow. The cost of war counter works there. once the page is opened, if it shows 0 refresh it again: http://66.102.9.104/search?q=cache:...priorities+iraq+cost&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=uk
It's actually better to gauge the scale of this BS war on the amount of innocent lives lost. Money can just be reprinted. Thousands upon thousands of innocent people have been killed yet we still see a load of pricks here banging the war drum sat in their nice comfy houses behind their lovely PCs.
1-The UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan declared that the US-led invasion of Iraq was an illegal act that contravened the UN charter. 2- The occupation is considered as the supreme Crimes against Peace by the standard of the Nuremberg war crimes tribunal 1946 (article 6). 3-In 2004 Les Roberts, Johns Hopkins School of Public Health found that 84% of 100,000 or more Iraqi deaths since the invasion had been caused by the actions of "coalition" forces, with 95 per cent of those deaths due to air strikes and artillery. 4-In 2006 A more recent study of the same group Les Roberts Lancet, estimated that 655,000 Iraqis have died as a result of the invasion since 2003 . Sure, the Iraqis are killing each other and the terrorists are enjoying their slice of the cake too. However it is the American army that is by far committing a major crime against humanity using sophisticated weapons, with an unimaginable fire-power that cause the killing of Iraqis at a very large scale. Falluja the city that was totally ruined and where banned weapons such as napalm gas and other outlawed weapons were used against civilians is a good example of the cruelty of the occupier. Who elected criminals to be their leaders? Who is the pay master for all these onslaughts? Should the American people take responsibility for the war crimes committed by their leaders? Or perhaps the issue is too complicated to put the blame on them, given that they have been lied too (WMD, Saddam & 911, Niger uranium forgeries, Powell presentation at the UN, etc…). May be they were misled by the corporate media or because their fear was exploited at the top level, especially after the horrendous 9/11 crime committed by terrorists against them.
And then you has those that advocate peace & terrorism from behind their PC with their radiators turned on full
In some cases this that is true, by using the guise of peace to let terrorists do what they want, but what i mean't was, to be clearer: And then you has those that advocate peace from behind their PC with their radiators turned on full. And then you has those that advocate terrorism from behind their PC with their radiators turned on full. Hence "peace & terrorism"
