    Google, period. I would say that is the norm. You hear people say, "Google it", but never "Yahoo it" or "MSN it". :)

    But, when I am looking for something I found on the Net long ago, I use www.visualsearch.info. This search engine is fast and offers a thumbnail of what the sites look like before you visit them.
