Infractions - Please Read

It means the post that incurred the infraction has been deleted so you can no longer view it.

I fear you'll be on the receiving end of another infraction for asking!

 

My very first post here at DP was a private infraction. I know exactly what it was too. 2 words. And then, within my next 10 posts, I got another one for an affiliate link. oops...but it did teach me the rule real quick.

So yes, as CountryBoy has stated, they are the posts that have been deleted by the mods, probably when someone reports it as a useless post.

Uh, the post i think caused the infraction was NOT pointless.

I already attempted to contact a different and better way FYI, i shouldnt get a infraction for this thread.

Yeah, you said you tried using the 'contact us' link. They might say you should have waited for a reply via that route. Just be aware that some mods have started giving out infractions for threads about infractions.

Neither rules lists makes mention of such practices, so if that is actually a rule it should be either added into the existing rule set, or the existing ruleset needs to be replaced with just the single line "The staff here had the final say on what is appropriate and what is not."

I wasnt complaining about the infraction, i was complaining that i didnt know how it got there. I learned that, a few infractions is not the end of the world. I am not disputing the infraction, i want to know what the infraction was actually for...

However, I think it's pretty crappy to pass out infractions for just annoying mods. IMHO, it really sheds a bad light on the mod team, digital point in general.

I'd say that "rules were rules" but meh... I've said I'd drop that

Fair enough....

1 infraction point isn't even worth worrying about.

But when someone gets an infraction, instead of saying, "Ooops, I guess I shouldn't do that...", (like 95% of the people that get infractions do) they run in and start a thread whining about it.

Look at the threads, man! They're BS!

 

I think all annoying people should get infractions -- just for being annoying.

 

I just got an infraction for "thread hijacking" yet where the link to this thread should be, it says "private". How am I supposed to know what was considered "hijacking" if I can't see the thread?

 

If you're not making an offer or asking a question in a sales thread stay out of it.

 

I am so sorry for not remembering Crazy_Rob. I remember bumping that thread once after around 24-26hrs later. It was on the 2nd or 3rd page, and therefore i assumed it was ok to give it a bump. I wont do that again......
