Well you can know for sure he is russian. Unless you are expecting visitors from there , just ban his IP range and get it over with
    Good luck.
(Backup your DB just in case)

use your .htaccess file to ban them in your other sites.

    something like:

    order allow,deny
    deny from 81.177.22.243
    allow from all

oh nyce i will have to look in to that!
    Thanks for your reply
would I just add that to a text file? and label it .htacess and put it in my root folder? or add it to a current .ht in the root of the site i want to protect?
if i have more than one ip do i just ad a , or; between the ips?
    I know nothing about .htacess!
    Thanks

Yes add it to the top of your current .htaccess file is you have one, if not just make one... if you need to make one you can rename it once it is uploaded if need be. If you get a server error just go back and rename it anything but .htaccess and look for an answer as to why it fails.

And yes just keep adding IP's to block:
    example..

    order allow,deny
    deny from 81.177.22.243
    deny from 81.177.22.244
    deny from 81.177.22.245
    allow from all
