I got a charge back from paypal too. It was an order 3 months ago. I just explained to paypal. Nothing else we can do. And, paypal can do nothing either. It depends on the credit card company's decision. bear
Did everyone remove their links to this guy yet? I am hoping this guys SERPs take a huge dive, and they pay for it with lost business. I sent an email to the paypal email address and to the email address posted on the website. I did not get a bounce back or reply. Anyone else try to send them an email? You would think if the credit card was used fraudulently to create links to the website, that the paypal email address (on that websites domain) would be fake.... Since I didn't get a bounce back, that speaks volumes. I am now convinced that this Vincent or Benny guy is definitely ripping us all off. What do you guys/gals think about posting in the directory forums to ask folks to look for this website and to remove all links even from free directories, etc? Morty
Hi All, I just did a quick search on tonerboss.com to see what came up. I came across the following web site: http://www.cybertegic.com/testimonials.htm If you are fighting the paypal charges, you may want to include this page. If it goes away, PM me as I took a snapshot. It appears that they are a SEO company, and they have a testimonial quote from Benny Adeva (name sound familiar) the CEO of tonerboss. Anyone else find this interesting? I bet the SEO company was given permission to use the card to build links, and tonerboss thinks they can deny the charges. So that they can have their cake and eat it too. Perhaps an email to benny (benny.adeva@tonerboss.com) explaining that if we all drop his links b/c he reverses the charges, he could see that 400% increase (mentioned in his testimonial) turn into a 400% decrease b/c his google traffic could disappear..... I say directory owners unite. Anyone else have any thoughts.??? Morty
I want to refund to this guy before I deleted his link, but there seems no this option now? any suggestion? the paypal status still pending review
Just curious, why do you want to refund the guy money when it is obvious that he is ripping us all off?
Yeah, we all hate that, only sometimes you must be prepared to fight and win the case, hard to beat Paypal's policies but not impossible.
Hey friends, Just 1 suggestion to you. If you'll unite, he wont doi that anymore in future. Call PayPal and report, all users must report who suffered from him. This way, he can get his account locked because if there are a lots of complaints about a PayPal account, PayPal limits the account and then if the buyer isnt able to give the reasons, he is locked from PayPal permanently(less chances but around 10% cases, this happens) At least you can try.
I agree. If we roll over, this will just happen again and again. I could understand if the card was stolen, but from the evidence so far, it is quite clear that these were legitimate purchases. Will fight this one to the end.... (This guy has really ticked me off ) Morty
I got chargeback as well and all the evidance indicate he is the one who submitted the link. I am disputing the charge back.
paypal made final decision, returned 5.95 to that tonerboss and also deducted $10 fee from me .... I have deleted that link...
Yeah, paypal made their final decision and took the money from us today. What was the $10 fee for? We didn't get charged that.... (at least I hope not) Morty
Same here. we had a charge back and had to pay $10. I will report him to paypal and show them this thread.
This really bad. I do not belive paypal did anything for us and then charge us extra $10. Show them all the evidances. This is the replay we got from : We have completed our investigation. After reviewing the details of this case, we have determined that it is unlikely that we will be able to successfully dispute this chargeback. To cover this chargeback, we have debited your account a Chargeback Settlement of $9.99 USD. We were charged a fee for processing this chargeback and have debited your account a Chargeback Settlement Fee.
Huh.... I wonder why they waived it for us. (So I know to do whatever it is again ). BTW check out this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=3018 Morty
