Hi, I have to say that I can see a lot less submission to my directories since the 'Google paid link' debate. I am not sure if it is connected though. But what I am doing to get over it is to create realtionships with seo managers. I offer them good discounts on my networks, and they are coming back and buy more links when they have a new project. This is very profitable method
May be people submitting their clients side to directories. (Wouldn't that be Directory submitters? ) Truly speaking, I have no idea
Maybe to "identify" them you can place an advertisement on your directory... giving them a special offer?
Well it would seem that our beloved mr cutts managed to create havic with that comment as he didnt explain anything but mearly beated around the bush... If you look at any of the threads in this section you will see that hes not targeting directories that are doing reviews but those that are deliberatly buying and selling high PR rank EX: PR8-9-10 links in an effort to thwart the algo and recieve a higher page rank then they would have normally recieved. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=315709&page=2 I was going to say please look at the webmaster guildlines and see if anything has changed and im not sure but it still says ODP as well as the PAY version of YAHOO so that tells me NOTHING has changed http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35769 and the only reason that many directories and websites lost page rank is due to them raising the curve and nothing more......... thx malcolm
Mate --can you just share one SEO resource with me in private via PM I am looking for them --but can't find I know they are great source of submissions as some others too does that.
