I would believe an eBook is only as good as the person who wrote it. If you are a reputable person in that field, like if Donald Trump were to write an eBook about his 10 steps to success, it would be a hit compared to someone who is practically unknown and writing the same.
I find it amazing that there are so many sheeple willing to spend money on such things. It's good news for authors, at least.
I know a lot of people that are making full time incomes online by selling ebooks. Obviously not the ones that are selling for pence on Ebay but well thought out and created ebooks. There seems to be a lot of negativity on this thread from people who think that selling ebooks is not a good way to make money but if it is not why is Clickbank such a thriving market (so much so that it has it's own thread). Look at marketers like The Rich Jerk, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Mike Filisaime, John Reese they make thousands from selling ebooks. If you visit the Warrior Forum - WSO section there are people who can make $3000+ within 7 days from selling their ebooks. I am someone who buys ebooks and I have found a wealth of information from many of them, to be honest I have been unhappy with a few but others have given me priceless guidance and information. For example Honest Income Programs, Escape Ebay and Niche Marketing on Crack have all being fantastic and will continue to make me money again and again. For all the people who do not believe in them it is definitely your loss - how are you making your money by the way?
good job missie - I believe ebooks are a great source of information because its all information by 'another' person that has its own uniqueness to it - that is why clickbank is so popular - because each author has different tactics - its knowing how one does it gets people to buy warrior forums is all about ebooks
This is a kewl topic... I have a whole folder filled with ebooks I bought on Ebay... It just isn't profitable to sell them on ebay because of the competition. I think you have to research and make sure that yours is TRULY unique...
If you are creating your own eBooks, you have a good chance of making some decent money. Anyone that tells you can't make money that way is misguided. Check out Clickbank and there's your answer. If you want to sell other people's eBooks (resell rights) you face a more difficult challenge. The trick is to build a list through the sale of resale rights products and then sell to them repeatedly and particularly high end affiliate products (think Clickbank again).
nice explanation - when I first heard about ebooks and resale rights I was excited and bought that iprofit ebook package, I sold them - but not as well as ebooks I create, because I think they would search the internet and find it for a dollar or even less, on ebay for a penny!
