Hello, I realized that article submission in high PR directories is great for link building to my website. But I am wondering about… “Between anchor text such as pay per sale and site URL displayed such as http://www.Mysite.com/paypersale.html. Which of the two is more effective and powerful to help my link building from article?" Thanks for your advice.
for sure anchor text is better, the readers will know what will find on your website, and search engines will know for which keyphrase to rank you better.
Without a doubt, anchor text. Make sure to match the anchor text to the search term that you want to be ranked for. Additionally, make sure any following description gives weight to the anchor text. For example, Webmaster Forum - Digital Point is the fastest growing webmaster forum, and for good reason! And of course, as others have mentioned, it helps if your on-page elements such as title tags, h1's etc. are in tune with your anchor text also. Phlegm...
anchor text should be the first you should consider, but an theory goes that a true URL could be also good in the eyes of SEs because those links look more natural. If same anchor text is the only backlink, it may not be so helpful in getting ranked high in the SERPs.
If you looking to rank for a particular keyword phrase then you should use that phrase in your anchor text when possible instead of the URL.
Thanks everyone for your great contributions. Now what do you suggest about the article directories that do not allow HTML code? In such directories, there is no way I can have anchor text on my articles on their site. Do you suggest I should discard such directories and concentrate on those that allow HTML? Please advice
It depends on article directory where you are submitting the site. If any article directory with very high PR is not allowing HTML and its allow only url then at that time you should not discard that one, but you should go for url. This type of directory can bring you traffic on your site. It will still count as backlink to your site.
if they dont allow anchored text link, then you would still be getting a link, which will still help, even if somewhat less than anchor text.
anchor text will help search engines to recognize your page content because of this one more vote to the anchor text
Do the directories allow title text to the links or URLs. Title Text can also be an option, just like you can use ALT Text with images. If they dont allow that, IMO a link with a URL is also good enough. A link is a link.. so why worry, as long as you're getting a link!
I disagree. I am new to seo, but from what I understand non keyword anchor text show authority to the search engines. That is the key to ranking high. Yes I agree anchor text does help but your results get diluted optimizing for one keyword with the same anchor text. Build a high authority site.
