I am agreeing with the others that its you with the problem. There was no need for the above reply and keeping the fire lit. Yet you still cant grasp that concept because here you are now making another rant.

You did the person a favor by not using their services, even though you wasted his/her time via PM.

    And in your first post.

Sorry, that sounds like a rant to me.

Ugh? Not only have you wasted his time but you also insulted him. You expect us to think he was in the wrong?

Some people have already said he was ;)...especially in the sense of getting a new customer...he was dead wrong...(and i insulted him after he was rude...)

so yes, i expect people to think he was in the wrong, just as well as me

(the first post was a rant...yes...the rest has been a discussion ;))

I found what Stax did reasonable, however I wouldn't have gone as far as telling him he gets an F or sucks.

I would have probably asked the same thing - who do you think it is offering the other package, since the guy was arrogant enough to state he knew so much, he should be able to back it up with his guess. I think you caught him in a bluff so it ticked him off.

For what it's worth, here's my take:

1: I always thought PM's were just that, PRIVATE - if you don't like what people say in them, then ignore the person or if its offensive, report them. Don't (IMHO) post it in a thread.

2: I was always taught in business that you never rubbish the opposition (because that makes you look weak!), maybe this is why he would not tell you what you wanted to hear.

3: I have to agree that the customer service leaves a little to be desired however I can see where 'f-' could have been seen as an offensive word, I had to read it a few times before I got the meaning in you post, and that is with the hindsight of this thread!

4: Do business, don't do business, at the end of the day the choice is yours. Its your $'s, your choice, good luck with your decision.

    Cheers

I think it's lame to publish a PM.

In my opinion...as long as I don't mention any names...i can post any private message between me an another that I want...because it's still private since you don't know who it's about...;)

but i see where you're coming from :D

thanks for your opinions hopper, i can understand them all, though i don't think he did what he did because he didn't want to say anything bad about the opposition...though that could be it...

To be fair to Stax "Him" (for want of a name) did get his curiosity going by stating
    .

When Stax asked about the guess "Him" got defensive, even though could have won a shot at Stax's business.

It's still kinda private, and probably shouldn't be posted out in the open, but at least we don't know who "Him" is, and I for one have no need to know.
    :)
