my sites already has some huge traffic, so a few hundread uniques from stumble don't make a big impact! but then i saw a huge percentage of traffic comming from the stumble, to my new blog! yes it is a good enough source of traffic, but then this traffic don't really help the purpose!
[ from stumble u get 10k trafic.??? I have account at stumble but I dont know how to do set up for trafic. Is it require tag for getting trafic.
Where do you purchase them from? I have a few sites that have been stumbled, but one in particular I think would do very well with a few more clicks.
No, you don't need it. If anyone who visits your site has it installed, and clicks the button on their toolbar, then you've been stumbled and the potential for more increases from there.
I get around 600 - 4000 uniques per month on average from stumbleupon on one of my sites. The other sites I then get practically none.
Actually, most social bookmark sites dont bring profitable traffic. But if you are just looking for traffic, then they can bring some traffic. Its something like Myspace. Then again, if your blog is about celebs, you will likely find the traffic to be profitable. The top ten searches on the internet are all dominated by celebs
Social media traffic can still earn you money I think. It is just a little harder to make it convert compared to organic search engine traffic.
It's not about conversion with stumbleupon. It's about getting free exposure to your site - mindshare. People will bookmark your site, come back to it when they like it, that sort of thing. Some people will bookmark your site or pages on delicio - which makes for more websavvy eyeballs on your site. It's the indirect sort of impact that can ultimately help your site get more links and more regular (converting) visitors.
Well said...the social media traffic tends to bring more linkers than converters. We get a lot of links from their traffic, but not so many customers. But you are right - the links help improve ranks which bring more converting visitors.
That depends on your purpose/strategy. You have to have different long term and short term strategies for marketing your site. We mainly use social media for link building/linkbaiting. Also, you have to understand different types of traffic - It's 2 different groups of people - the ones coming from social media are very different than ones coming from search engines. If someone types in a specific product name and gets to your site from Google, chances are they're ready to buy, or close to it. If someone is surfing StumbleUpon and sees your site and thumbs it up, they can check it out later when they have more time. They're probably looking more for cool stuff, or resources. You have to have a side of your site that provides this to capture the social media traffic. If your site is ALL sales, don't even bother with social media. These visitors are more likely to write a blog post mentioning your site and linking to it. The ones coming from Google, don't care about linking to you - they just want to buy which is the end goal - conversion. That's great, but how are you going to get links to your site so you can even rank in Google? Social media is one great avenue for that.
i get about 200/day from stumble but i m not sure if they bring any profit. is there anyone with positive/profitable experiance from stumbleupon?
