My friends daughter (blind from birth) needs a little bump on her myspace and youtube marketing effort. Any thoughts on ways to get traffic to these? Not my area of expertise.

This is NOT one of those spammy “look at me” posts – this girl has real talent! Thanks in advance for any media SEO advice or social network marketing tips.

Did you try posting it on a blog then doing social bookmarking work on it?

Well videos are hard to do SEO with of course. But have a little blurb about it :) and then submit to sites such as digg!

    Great videos BTW :)

    Thanks 8

I have actually had some luck getting certain videos to appear in the SERPS for the anchor text used in the links to them.

No need to mention she's blind then! :)

Post that YouTube vid on a few "musician" forums - just do the same thing any other unsigned musician would do.

I like the music, very soulful. :)

Maybe you should try making a thoughtful Digg and linking it back to her MySpace, or a blog about her? After making the Digg spread the link around. I'm sure lots of people will Digg for her. :)

    awesome idea

I would make a sad story then Digg it then go after every other social bookmarking site.

A non Myspace/Youtube page that goes after search engines isnt a bad idea either. You can embed the youtube vids and put a link to the myspace.

Thanks for the ideas! I have debated the "sad story" angle - what do you think the right distribution point would be - given we don't have an active blog. Would you write the story and place it in an article directory, or approach a music site or blog, or ????

Yeah,... if you don't have a site for it, get someone to post this on their established blog!
