I just started using Auction Ads (owned by Shoemoney) yesterday in mixture with one of my Adsense sites. I've had like 4 clicks so far, no revenue though as no ebay action. don't know how popular Auction Ads are with webmasters but if someone here has used them for a while or whatever can you share your success rate with them and what sort of revenue they generate. Also, the site I am using them on gets about 140 uniques a day, isit possible to make a revenue with Auction Ads with this amount of traffic?
Auction ads get more clicks than other ads on my website. But they don't pay by clicks like adsense. It's really hard to generate sales/leads I think. I got hundreds of clicks but no revenue at all!
Just depends on the quality of the website. On my site I do not get much traffic but compared with adsense/ypn I get about 5x with auctionads.
Yeh I know, they need to make an action on ebay for you to get payed. That's what I was wondering... how much sort of traffic would you need to generate sales. Obviously you need a quality site too, mine is quality content - Gervaisworld.com
I did not get one single conversion from auction ads. I can't see it working. Screen shot taken from my postmortem review of Auction Ads.
oh it works...i had the same stats like you when i started and eventually it starts to pick up steam....give it some time....
How do the rest of you find the relevance of ads -- at the moment mine are irrelevant to both the site and keywords I've entered at auctionads. Any hints or tips to improve relevance?
It seems ebay really pays very less to their affiliates. Anybody knows the what the exact percentage auctionads is sharing? And I want to know how much have you earned up to date by auctionads?
Top and bottom are fine -- middle ad is for a beauty product I think - earlier on in the day they were for computer games & now they are on sun-glasses for me!? I'm in the UK -- possibly to do with geo-targetting? Great?
One of your keywords is "renovation". The ad has renovation in the title... AuctionAds is NOT contextual, it doesn't try to figure out what you mean. You need to use more specific keywords, or negative filtering. Maybe "home renovation". It has nothing to do with geotargeting..
i love auction ads! I generate about 1000-1500 visits per day -- and generated over $200 in april -- some days i made nothing while others i made anywhere from a few cents - $40! Remember it's a 30 day cookie so you can make money from a click today 25 days down the road.
I know that. If you say so! But I still don't know what sun-glasses & computer games have got to do with "renovation" or "barn conversion" - are those some kind of default items?
Yep, they're the most popular items on eBay. Is this site very low traffic by any chance? (BTW, every time I go, I get relevant ads.)
You need a good few hundred stats before you can start seeing if it may work or not and then you need a few thousand stats to get more of an accurate picture of how well it is likely to go.
conversion in action ads is very low and if you have good traffic then too you need e-bay users so they buy anything, other will simply ignore the ads.
