Clicked my ad (stupid me)

    Dam this morning i clicked one of my ads ! I have e-mailed adsense Uk and told them is that the right thing to do ??

    i wanted to ge the url (which i coulnt see) so i thought if i right click on the ad and selected 'copy short cut' i would get the url and it wouldnt be counted. .... oh and i wanted the url to put in my 'competitive ad filter'....

    Dont worry! A single click by mistake is not much to worry about. Just inform them this happened. Some people may tell you to just ignore it, but I am not so sure.

    you did the right thing to let them know that you have clicked by mistake... but I am sure that they will search in "archives" to compare other clicks... so if they will find some more... then they will disable your account.

    Yeah they would understand but you did playsafe by informed them. that's good act. When i clicked on mine, i didnt inform them but i haven't got anything from them so far. (that's why i'm scared. they might banne me without warning :eek: )

    I never report it. It happens sometimes (1 per a month). So far, so good.

    There is a great exension for Firefox called Greasemonkey, and a script for it that prevents you from clicking on your own ads (based on your pub-id).

    Check it out, it helps!

    I always assumed they could tell if you clicked it, I guess I was mistaken. I'm not too sure if one click would be such a big deal. Good idea telling them about it tho.

    Keep in mind that if that you inform them of anything, you are bringing attention to your account. From that point they are more likely to ban you on other terms.
