There are many MFA (made for Adsense) sites out there that bid little on keywords and provide no value to the user who clicks on thier ad. By using tools like AdsBlackList, you can protect your site from low-paying, non-converting ads. This should help to raise your overall CPC and the value of your ads to your users.
For forums: Yes to some extend, but the colors/placement also need to change because these frequent visitors may be ad blinded

Blending in a forum is one of the worst things you can do in a forum, IMO. I've had great lucky using multiple palettes.

You can try this but its mostly futile as the number of crap sites far exceeds the number of sites you can block in all the the tightest of niches. If all you do is run a forum and a site or two and you use one adsense account then it might work, otherwise you are just spinning your wheels.
