i think you misunderstood them. They are probably advertising on Myspace and then directing people to their website or an affiliate and they get money that way. When it comes to myspace the goal is to get as many friends as possible and then basically advertise on their comments. There are many softwares that can aid you in the process by adding friends and posting comments in their page automatically.

MySpace does not actually allow you to do anything commercial or promote your products or services legally but people do find a way to create fake accounts or steal existing ones to send out bulletins to.

You cannot add Adsense or Affiliates since MySpace does that.

    http://www.myspace.com/Modules/Common/Pages/TermsConditions.aspx

The only people that MySpace supports that can do anything commercial are new indie bands and musicians trying to sell their music and gain fan base. Those can legally do it.

I would think it is just a hype since it is against MySpace TOS to do any marketing in MySpace. Most people will just ignore or delete those spams, at least that's what I do. MySpace is active in disabling just accounts which does commercial marketing.

Well, it is still a breach of MySpace Terms and Conditions even if you are not beging trackdown. It does not make it right to break the contract under any circumstances.

It is still best not to do so

myspace websites are making lots of $$ on things like adsense right now, but the more people create the sites, the less the publishers will get...plus there are already a ton of developed MFA myspace sites...try finding another niche that will be easier for you to get in if you want to do the MFA stuff.

Well one thing they are doing is that all links posted in comments get converted by myspace so that they can track all links that are posted and find out who's spamming and what's being spammed.

It's not too difficult to track, if they see a guy with 100k friends or more. Chances are, 99% of them are MFA. Adderbots got their their behind kicked, so it's probably the end.

myspace gets a few billion hits every day.
so there is a lot of traffic and then there are lots of ways to make money on myspace.
    1. myspace resource sites. These sites have stuff that myspace users use to pimp there profile pages. the traffic on some of these sites is huge.
search myspce layouts or myspace comments in google and check the top sites.
also do a populartity search on these keywords.

    2. market sites like arcades, proxies, imagehosting, videosharing and other such sites on myspace.
    3. create accounts and sell your services on to other webmasters wanting to promote there sites on myspace. check out the services section on DP.
    4. Sell accounts to other webmasters.
    5. Create niche groups and friends to market niche stuff on myspace.

bottom line where ever there is traffic there is a way to monotize it. another thing myspace marketing is going downhill now. the response people got eariler is not the same anymore.

i hope this information helps you understand myspace marketing better.
    cheers

I think MySpace was a soft and easy target some time ago. But now it's getting harder and harder to profit from that strategy.

There's tons of eBooks telling you how to do it, but from what i hear it's nowhere near as profitable as it once was.

MySpace are indeed cracking down on spammers.

Isn't it funny how Myspace has double standards. Those who pay Myspace to advertise are allowed to do it, others that don't arent allowed
