i see that you are managing it well (Y)
putting articles for vote brings you more articles and voters = visitors at the same time
add to those us, who went to check your competition ;)

    Good for you

Your contest seems OK to me, and I'm unsure why people are seemingly ignoring that you've already invested your $100. Maybe raising post count?

I'm a forum fanboy *GO vB!* so I say, start a forum. you can get a leased vBulletin for $85 a year, or even SMF for free. You can sell ads on it to generate a bit more money (though forums generally have a low CTR). However, forums are a great means for generating content. You can promote you main site from the forum itself...which will be your best bet on click throughs...

I have to say back-links... first

What good is content and a fancy logo if the site will not rank.

What good is a link is there is nothing when you get there?

And as for the fancy logo, there is no content in a logo... as long as the site look decent, that's all that truly matters. Anything beyond that is nit-picking.

And if by rank you mean Google's PR or Alexa ranking, very few people I know outside of webmaster circles actually care (or even know they exist), and of the people I know that do pay attention, very few actually go "Oh, nice site, it's got a PR6" if there is nothing else to look at.

    Content is king!

    I would:
    1. Spend 50$ on articles writing and submit (better, if you will write articles yourself and pay only few for submit).
    2. But if you don't know good keywords you'd like to stay upper and if you wish to test your ideas before investing, I'd put 50$ into google account and run 5-10 ad groups to find out what keyword (niche) works for me better (generate better conversion)

The $100 has been spent...why are you people still giving repetitive input?

    Hows it going?

Have you posted a thread down in buy/sell/trade...there is a contests forum, I guess that's what it's for. People here may know finances ;)

Up in general marketing, you may also wish to start a thread to see where else you can get the word out for the contest.
