I'd like to hear your comment about my site. http://gatzet.info Any comment will be appreciated and I'll give you + reputation for it. Thanks
Nice clean site. I think the GoogleAds in the middle column may be too far down(*). Switching them with the 'search cloud' may improve ctr, though you'll need to test to be sure. (*) Unless you plan on having a lot more content on the front page, in which case they'll end up in the middle somewhere which I think may work quite well.
Nice theme, nice placement, very clean, i like it. You can consider adding a border or a different background on the left hand side.
first of all: yellow links, they are hardly visible on white bg have a separator after each link on right side for Recently Written and Most Popular Posts with my 1024x768 screen the ads that start from BRAIN SWITCHER and ends with PR make the page too long and they feel to be out of site, besides when I scroll down a huge black background comes up, when I scroll it disappears and leaves only the black bg for otherwise the bg is like 500px in height EDIT: P.S. The REP points you provide are useless as you don't have a REP yourself. so better don't spend your time on giving the REP points, but spend it on helping others in the forum and then get REPs, later gather the needed amount and only then start giving out, but only to those who deserve it
Thanks for your comment Ouch, The design must be incompatible with your browser. I will re-design it later to accompany wider types of web browser. Thanks anyway.
its not my browser, mine is IE6 now so better shrink it with a few pixels and make it 95% in place of 100%
Looks great. Here is a couple of tips... You may want to 301 redirect the non www version of the blog into the www version. This may help you down the line, because it is hard to control how other people link to you. The content on your site is the kind of stuff that the people at digg would like. I would think about submitting some good linkbait there. But don't put that huge block of adsense before the article if you are going to do that. Hope that helps.
It's probably more noticeable since I'm on a widescreen, but I find it odd that the header is a 100% width while the footer is a fixed pixel width. I'd have a 100% width footer too. The alexa button in the bottom right seems useless for now. I just see "no data" The yellow links on blue bar look good, but it's confusing to have "News | Gadget | Software Review | Manual Books" in yellow when they aren't links. I keep wanting to click them My other suggestions is perhaps different background colors on your right columns to separate them from the page content a bit. (Overall it's quite nice )
I didn't test it on IE 6, because I use Firefox. But I'll try to rewrite css code. Thanks for your suggestion. I will consider to add 301 redirect. The social bookmarking link is on single post page, because I don't want visitors digg or submit before they read the whole article. Thanks for your suggestion. I just realized how odd the design appears on wide screen from your information, since my screen resolution only 1024x768. The header looks fine when I use width=100% on my screen but I forgot that content box still using fixed width. I will fix this later.
