Anyone drop in PR?

Discussion in 'SEO' started by Seobiznezz, Apr 30, 2007.

Anyone reporting drops in PR? I went from a PR 6 to PR 5 on 2 sites. One from Pr 5 to 4.

Not that I have lost any links but I am thinking that Google could have increased how many inbounds are required for the next level. As the internet grows and links become more plentiful and since 10 is the maximum then sooner or later they have to increase the requirements of the levels thus pushing them down.

    thoughts....

I found drops on my existing sites where I expected gains, which was strange.

I also found new sites were assigned pretty deent PRs compared to my existing sites with their backlinks/age etc...

This update has confused me a little to be honest.

Sometimes I think Google wants the webmaster community to be confused.

Me, I have notice that I lost my backlinks and I don't get any PR update because of that. My PR are still 0.

It was a confusing update.. I expected small rises due to more and higher number of quality backlinks. But a few went down... not that it matters toooooo much but yes would have been nice.
