    Craigslist...

    - is one of 50 top traffic sites, according to Alexa.com
    - you can use it to generate free traffic to your site
    - if you post proper ads on it, you can get 100 - 500 unique visitors a day
    - if you know what is hot for it, you can make any sales

For US, Craigslist is very good for real estate promotion. Everyday hundred thousands of visitors visit Housing category of Craigslist. These are high potential for real estate sellings. A lot of real estate affiliate programs only allow their affiliate program to US affiliate marketers for CPA (Lead). Average CPA is $5-10 (not sale). Not for the outside US.

    gumtree.com is good too.

I generated some traffic using well worded copy, (in a non-spam way)...1 ad got 15 uniques and 5 sign-ups.

... I keep meaning to go back and try some more angles.. Because if you get 10 uniques from 1 ad in one city, post similar ads to 50 cities and thats 500 uniques.

You probably would have to reword ad between cities, to avoid being flagged as spam.

My experience with Craigslist has been good. I only place an ad or two every week and, depending on what it is related to, get plenty of traffic and an occasional sale.

I love CraigsList! It is the best thing on the net in years. Unfortunately some like to abuse it like they abuse everythying else. With CL it is not necessary to burden the system and anger its mbmers because the site is extremely targeted. It works better than any other site of its kind because of this.

They don't tolerate multiple postings but multiple posting can be done in a tempered manner.

Yesterday I did $4,000 on it-and in cities 2,000 miles from me. I also obtain fantastic results from combine solid marketing techniques I use elsewhere.

All in all, I hope the spammers stay away-oh yeah, spammers take note-any sort of spamming of CL will only get you booted because they have several methods in place to move you on!

I found a great resource for CL http://CraigsListSecretsRevealed.com

    :) Good luck!

lots of traffic on this site, too bad the members have too much power and are able to ban any ad, sometimes in a sabtoge manner

As you may see from the link in my sig, I have found CL to be an excellent way to get free traffic. With my observation, you get quality leads or uniques if you can go about the posting well like explained in the ebook in the sig. Almost everything sells well on CL and traffic is almost instant.

That's what I was thinking. It's not the best designed site, especially considering how much traffic it gets.

I use a script to post to 50 cities a day, (auto fills), and I get about 250 visitors per day from just day, and 2 sales so far. Excellent, but I get paranoid that they'll trace my IP and ban me..

Not all ads accepted by Craigslist. It is confusing! To avoid ads get deleted automatically by Craigslist, don't put any hyperlinks on the ads. This means that you will manually response to visitors by email. :D
