WWE, as many of us think is not all fake. It is not just the WWE. There are innumerable number of wrestling federations accross the world and more importantly in the US. They cannot cheat the thousands of people. It is not possible to fake some moves too. How would you fake someone jumping off from a 15 foot high ladder on to someonelying on the cement floor? If it is fake, why do they have press conferences? Why do the results of a match make headlines in local newspapers? Why do players get injured? Why do Olympic and All-American wrestlers with burning passion join the WWE? I do agree that they indulge in some fake rivalries and fake taggings in order to promote the business. Just like the rivalry between HBK and Hulk Hogan, which is widely speculated to be fake. But the action is never fake. Those guys out there are professionally trained wrestlers. They have a lifetime of practice and training. They have dedicated their lives to their passion. A few things might be faked to improve business, but the action is not fake. The match is real.

WWE is scripted. The wrestlers are not hurt during matches and Iam more interested in their story line than the actual match itself. If I want to see real fighting action I will watch UFC.

Unbelievable. I can't believe some of you think it's not 100% real. I suppose you're going to tell me that Santa and the Easter Bunny are also fake??

Looks like you're the only one, apart from me, who beleives there's some amount of reality involved in WWE. There is no reason wee should question the reality of the matches. It is true that they do a little bit of 'spicing-up' of the storyline and provide some colour commentary to include more excitement. But matches are matches and are real. That's why thousands of people watch them directly in the arenas and that's why it's telecasted live in the USA network.

 except I was being facetious (notice my comments about Easter Bunny, etc.)

However, honestly I think they are scripted but a lot of the action is real. Sure you can stage most of it but there is contact and I;'m sure they all go home at night sore as hell...regardless of how many times they rehearsed and practiced the moves.

It's entertainment nothing else. Just like the "reality" TV shows....SCRIPTED!!!

WWE is just a drama. The pain is however real. It is already decided that who will hit at which part and this and so.

Once a wrestler on TV said that the person who performs best becomes a good wrestler.

no not real its more like a live movie.
you very rarely see their theeth broken or face swollen.

They even speak with each other sometimes in the ring telling to do what.

But they are athelites they trained a lot sure they get hurt but still they trained for it.

First it was World Wreslting Federation not Foundation.
Second they had to change the name because they 'borrowed' it in a agreement from the real WWF (World Wildlife Foundation), and about 4 years ago they were asked to stop using WWF. They even changed the site from wwf.com to wwe.com.

Is wrestling fake? Sure! It's scripted.

Are they really hitting each other? HELL YES!

Okay they stomp their foots when they punch and other junk. But when someone jumps on your from the top rope it hurts like hell.

You know the way that Ric Flair smacks people and you hear that HUGE noise? He is actually smacking people with FULL FORCE.

Why do they bleed so much? Before the match they cut themselves with a blade usually on their head somewhere so the cut can be hidden. By the time the match starts out the wound has healed but a blow to the spot will open it up and the blood will gush out. The reason they do this on the head is because thats where ALOT of blood templates hang out.

Think what you may, but I respect those guys for the effort of putting their body on the line every night.

Owen Hart died because the line failed. Simple enough. Many wrestlers have used the same trick to come the ring before ala Shawn Micheals At Wrestlemania, but I dont think it has been tried since than.

Very true mubin. WWE might be scripted, but once the match starts it's competetion. And unlike what most people think, the moves are not faked. I've mentioned the same in my earlier post. How do you fake something like jumping off a 15 foot high steel cage on to someone lying on a cement floor?

if WWE wasn't scripted then how do you explain the hammer can cause such a little hole and the wrestler would still be able to get up even if he was hit hard...personally if it was real and someone would of got hit on the head hard with a hammer he will die or be in a comma (don't know how to spell it lol)

The storyline in WWE is scripted. True. The matches are already decided and all the talking they do before a match is just to create some excitement. ut the match is real. You have a real mtch going on. Of course, certain bizzare things do happen at times. But that doesn't mean WWE is fake action. All those people in action there are exeptional wrestlers at their hometown. They don different name and are around with a different profile. But inside the ring, they wrestle. These people come to WWE with the eagerness ot relentlessly pursue their passion. They're not fools to have fought in Olympics and come to WWE and fake some action. We don't need wrestlers for that.
