How long before they terminate me?

Hey folks, just added YPN to my website two days ago. So far the money is better than Google....but about only about 40% of my traffic is US:( So, I expect the shaft anytime now...but my questions, how long does it take before they drop you? And, do they keep the money?

They won't drop you as long as you use geo-targeting and do not commit click fraud.
I have a very low CTR but they have not dropped me.

What I don't get is why we have to use geo-targeting. Yahoo! does not say we have to, they just say they need US traffic. So, how do we ONLY get US traffic on our websites? DOes Yahoo want to make a tool for this? Ridiculous. Yea, I'm probably at risk of getting banned, but we should not have to do this extra work!

You geotarget your YPN ads to US visitors and it makes Yahoo look like you have US traffic.

Well you can't say that I had geo-targeted ads and my CTR was between 0.1-0.3%(due to non-relavent ads) still they dropped me out. It is just a bad luck, wait till you get dropped..:(.

why are you asking us questions we couldnt possibly answer? nobody knows this information. the bottom line to your question, which has been answered; if you dont geotarget, youre out. if you dont convert, youre out. if you cheat, youre out, if you break tos, youre out. even if you do everything exactly right and are the perfect publisher there is a high chance that you are out. it can take a day, a week, a month a year or never. its all 1 big giant chance you take joining the beta program.

to answer your future question; will they pay me? maybe yes, maybe no, maybe some, maybe none. again, a chance of participating in the beta test of their publisher program.

my opinion? if you have only been using the program for 2 -3 days now and are already wondering how long till you get "the shaft"... youre out.

as always, jmo and good luck.

Its called BETA, YPN can specify only US traffic because it is there program....if you owned it, you could specify differently...however, as publishers, we really don't get a say in anything...
