    no Usually not even close
Notice that if you choose expert appraisal it takes you to an affiliate page for sedo.

and don't forget that even the paid appraisal is just an indication, not an amount that you will be sure you'll get

There is no such thing as a reputable appraisal service.

Well to be exact there is reputable appraisal service and by that i mean people like sedo where they will search a bit your name and deliver your status if there are other TLDs available, overture status.... nothing you can't do yourself, the only thing they add is a reference from past sales from their service

However i believe that the whole appraisal issue is not to know how much your name costs but to get an idea if the people will like your name or not (which you can do it in any related forum). There is not regulated price for domains

Don't bother wasting your time with them or any other company. If you want an appraisal, post on forums only. You're gonna get a more realistic price as opposed to these companies.

Yeah, for appraisels.. I wouldn't trust free ones at all. At the end, it all depends on the buyer and how much he/she is willing to pay for your site.

I find these free appraisels just for entertainment purchases :p doesn't impact on how I go about with using my domains.

Well, the only free appraisal which is good is if that someone who is appraising your domain name is the one who is buying your domain name.

Otherwise, they don't mean a thing even if it is a paid appraisal if no one buys the name.

Example: Check picko.info on there, I have it, I bought it cheap, I'll sell it for 10% what they estimate!

Appraisal services like Leapfish are innaccurate.

Paid will be better, but it's not a garuntee so I wouldn't recommend wasting your money.

Posting in forums is helpful, but that too isn't accurate if the people appraising your name have little experience.

Your name is really worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

You can also check sites like SiteFirm's domains sales (or sites like these. BTW I'm not affiliated with them) that include your keyword to get a rough idea of where you stand.
