The site is semi automated. NZ based accommodation providers can sign up for an account, add details of each hotel, motel etc they own. They then select an advertising price point and click activate. This sends the site admin an email with their details.

So all invoices / payments etc are handled by an external accounting package / cheque / bank transfer

Once the advertiser has paid the admin makes their listing live and sends an email to say that this has been done.

The advertiser can then log in at anytime to update their listing, add remove images, mark their property on a google map, add details of special offers and view click though and page view stats for their listing.

The site was 95% converted to css a year or so ago and this cut bandwidth usage by half.

I have testimonials from advertisers comparing this site favorably with other NZ accommodation portals.

are there any current advertisers?
when u say external invoice ? isn't paypal? which company do we need to sign up?

Is the code based on a licensed script, or is it custom coded? Do you think the script powering the site could be easily adapted to create a second site for eg. another country?

 

It's custom coded, and has already been easily adapted to create other sites in another country

You could easily change the site subject as well. My intention had been to split it up into hotels, motels etc

Does the fact it's custom coded mean the buyer will get all rights to the script (resale, use on other sites etc)? Is it currently licensed to any other sites (eg. the lakeland one) or are they sites you own? Thanks!

Incidentally the maps part of each post doesn't seem to be working? Just a blank area when I look at them here (although the control icons are visible, the map itself isn't)...

 

Could you let me know what browser and platform you are using? A link to an example page would be very useful as well - I wasn't aware there was a problem.
