If you just want general info, just search. There are tons of articles on the 4 Ps of Marketing on the Web. If you want specific info about a particular product, you'll have to tell us the product to get any help.

Then, like I already said, you have to tell us the product, or it's useless to ask.

You shouldn't judge peoples posts by there post count.

As you don't have such a high post count yourself :p

    the 4 p's
    (product, place,price, promotion)

    BlackBerry

Product - what makes the Blackberry stick out? Why would consumers buy it over other products in its niche?

Place - ? Dunno how you can do this on an item. This is more for a business... like: mall, busy road, hood, .......

Price - is the price higher or lower then other products in its niche. Why?

Promotion - what kind of ads do you see for this product? who are they aiming at.

That's incorrect. Place (placement) is another term for distribution (b/c calling it flat out "distribution" wouldn't give a nice little 4th P). It has to do with a lot more than the business' location. It's all about where the product is being sold. In one store? In chains? Specialty shops? Large online retailers? Small online retailers? Catalogs? etc.

Indeed. This refers to the channel of distribution.
    For example:

internet, specialist shops, chain stores, catalogue.

but it can also refer to the position the product is placed in a certain store i.e. at the back of the store or at the front.

The standard teaching is 4 Ps of marketing. Some say 5. Some say 7. You can say whatever you want, but traditionally, it's 4. The most common 5th one tacked on is Packaging, but there's no need for that, b/c technically everything involved in it is covered already between product and promotion.

    I agree...
The term place I would assume when marketing on the web would obviously also include the "market place" which I would think refers to what sites you advertise and sell on.

Yep, it covers the general to the highly specific... from specific sites it's sold on (advertising would actually fall under promotion though) to custom display racks in a store.
