I think you, d16boy and little willy should confine this kind of discussions to your bedrooms when you are together. ;) Rest of us don't need to hear about your "republican" affection for each other. :D

Oh yea right. And you should take teachings from our government who: does not want you to afford an education so your dumbass can think for yourself, wants you to be unskilled so you work for minimum wage so your boss can get richer, wants you to eat junk so you get sick and get hooked on perscription drugs so drug companies can benefit, wants your kids to play violent video games so he grows up to kill innocent people (be that in sensless wars as well...the list can go on and on. The problem is not with the terrorists but with terrorists governments, but when you are a sheep and believe that your own government is on your side you live in the matrix.

Wow. That was so crazy that I just had to quote the entire thing.

Education doesn't help you think for yourself. Education helps you think like the government wants you to think. I'm sorry to hear that you can't think for yourself because the government hasn't paid for you to be able to.

I'm sorry that you work for minimum wage. I don't.

I'm sorry that the government forces you to eat junk. As a free adult, I get to choose what I eat and don't eat.

I'm sorry that you're hooked on prescription drugs. Are they court ordered? Does the nurse hold your mouth closed to make sure that you swallow?

I'm sorry that you're forced to play violent video games. Have you tried Ms. PacMan instead, or is the government chaining you to a chair and forcing you to play Grand Theft Auto?

This proves my point about you. You are saying that I am hooked on drugs, do not have a college education and work for minimum wage (could not be further from the truth). I was speaking about the majority of Americans. You can get the facts from anywhere on that.

No he isn't. Go back to school.

Go. Move it. You're missing second period.

    ...

Now, as World Dictator I think defense would be very important - however because I would control the entire world I would not - and you would not - need to worry about invading countries, wars, death, destruction and devastation. Defense spending would not need to be so high on a world-wide scale, and anyone who steps out of line is at risk of the orbital smart minimized radiation tactical nuclear warhead system. Problem solved.

It's difficult to believe that you managed to come up with an even crazier argument than your last one -- but you did. Way to go!

We have mandatory education in this country to a certain age. You can't not accept government indoctrination -- and it's taxpayer funded.

Very few Americans work for minimum wage. In fact, just 2.7 percent of all hourly-paid workers make minimum wage, and hourly-paid workers themselves only make up 59.8% of all salary and wage workers.

Unless they are in prison, a public mental hospital, a public school, or the military, the government doesn't force anyone to eat anything.

Unless they are in a public mental hospital or the military, the government doesn't force anyone to take prescription drugs.

I am also not aware of any instances of the federal government forcing anyone to play violent video games.

I am not sure what part of "anywhere" you are getting your facts from. You appear to be living in a different country than I am. Hell, you seem to be living in a different world than I am.

you're right...technically some drugs are not addictive...second, I think will meant "high school education" and if you work at walmart (which would be to funny if you did), you would get paid more than minimum wage....

If you get paid minimum wage in the U.S. it's because you're a scumbag. I didn't even make minimum wage when I was a high school student. It takes a special kind of asshole to only make minimum wage.

Actually - to make minimum wage it takes no skillz, or a bad employer in a place where that job is the only one available.

Everyone has to start somewhere. There's no shame in starting at the bottom, there is only shame in staying at the bottom.

When I started working when I was around 14 or 15 the only jobs availible where minimium wage

when you are under 16 you only allowed to work a few places like restuarants and farms or something, according to child labor laws

have you found as convicted felony yourself blocked out of a lot of high paying jobs

Most jobs that pay above minimum wage were shipped out oversees.

I called my credit card company the other day and they spoke with heavy Pakistany/Indian accent on the other end. So I will be buying lots of money orders from now on

Actually, it's the highly skilled jobs which can't be off-shored.

Isn't that cutting off your own nose to spite someone else's face?

Take a moment, if you will, to study a bit on the economic theories of David Ricardo.

Really, both sides do benefit from free trade.

And not surprisingly, the unemployment rate continues to remain incredibly low.

That is true! The opponents of free trade predicted soaring unemployment resulting from NAFTA.

The trouble with liberals is that their economic models are flawed and that they do not have the political will to fix them.

because you need 2 jobs to make a decent living these days. 100 years ago average job paid so much you didn't have to work a 2nd job nor send your wife to work

Outsourcing has been around since the turn of the 1900s. It happens on democrats watch, it happens on republicans watch. It's a choice. One that has been around a LONG time.

If it's so bad, why is unemployment so low? Take away outsourcing and illegal Mexicans and we'd have a shortage of workers in this country.

yeah that is kind of funny

my grandfather had no education past high school, and was able to have a house , car and his wife stayed home to raise the kids

Now in order to have house and car most couples both have to work
