It doesn't mean anything at all. Bad things still happen here, too! Why the hell should we keep it?

    Yes, why? Just move on...
God does not exist anyway, it's just a human invention for weak people to get courage in life. If that help them, very good...
And 'God bless America' is a "help", so you need it or not, take it or leave it...It's no big deal...

I believe in God, and I believe God blesses America. I *also* believe it is the promised land for the last dispensation of his people - yeah, the United States will eventually be at a point where the constitution will hang by a thread. So it won't get better - but it IS a blessed land.

You're all free to believe what you want, and believe that God isn't real - go ahead. It's one of the many FREEDOMS this country enjoys - we sure are BLESSED to have them!

Do you not think the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution was inspired by God? Do you not think God had nothing to do with the creation of America? Who could write such great document(s) like that on wit alone?

I'm agnostic, but I still don't think we should get rid of "God Bless America" besides we would have to change our song. I guess you could just hum "God Bless America" But I don't think it would sound as good.

    God Bless America,
    Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home!

Besides, once we get rid of "God Bless America" what will they get rid of next? Do we do a new rendition of I pledge allegiance to the flag that doesn't mention God? I don't want our country to become too politically correct.

Because, maybe it gives the impression that God only cares about America and other countries are inconsequential.

So if I say "I worked hard and made more money last year" that instantly implies that everyone else didn't work at all and therefore did not increase their earnings? Interesting.

NO, YOU got that INFERENCE. It's not implying anything of the sort. You just inferred it.

Is it bad that our country is faithful? Is it so horrible we haven't completely lost all ways of faith yet?

It's horrible we haven't realized who the real founding fathers were and what they believed in yet.

america is losing all the morals it was founded on, and yeah i dont care what your high school teacher taught you america was founded on God. go visit wash. DC or any other historical area from around 1776 everywhere you look there is biblical scripture written in the walls of buildings, on statues and in documents. read about the live of our founding fathers God was who they put their trust in, and b/c of them yes america is a blessed nation.

Not that misconception, Tom. Go back to the re-education camp I sent you to until you learn the RIGHT way - because I say it is so. *sound of boots marching*

Why just America, are you really egotistical enough to think god cares about lines politicians draw in the dirt.
    Why not the world?
