my http://www.zenpix.net/about/ is showing a ton of PR4 from a few datacenters http://www.digpagerank.com/index.php?url=http://www.zenpix.net/about/&dc=18 and it has 0 backlinks - the main page is PR3 and just shows PR3 - why is it that the pages i dont try to build links gets so much higher pr than the ones i do build up.
I have some of those too. In fact the highest PR I have is on pages I do absolutely nothing for. The pages I do link building for are lower. Simply amazing.
yea - my shop and calendar on forum are PR1 and PR2 shown lol - i did nothing - but main page is still showing PR3 and i worked my ass off getting PR4 - PR6 links lol i hate google for this lol
I am right there with you!!!! On one site I had busted my chops getting links and had gotten like 1200 very good links, many PR6, 7 range. I am talking links where my site was the only one on the page and yet I remain PR2. But hey, as long as the fluff pages are PR4 It makes no sense!!!! I can't figure Google on this update.
nope cant figure on this one - last update my main site went from pr0 to pr3 and i wasnt trying to build up any links at all - because i didnt care about this site's pr back then lol - but after it got up to pr3 i just started to build up cuz i got kinda hooked and wanted it higher - like competition - i like competition and challenges - i had enough backlinks for at least a PR5 for my forum and one of my blogs - if my blog got PR4 and about page was PR3 i would have been better off lol my blog also has so many inner categories with PR haha and i did nothing - i gotta slap somebody now - im kinda mad though
After seeing others are having this same scenario as well as some older domains losing PR (my client's site that I am worked so hard on is over is 7 yrs old but I only worked on it for 2 months) I am wondering if G was trying to do something with the paid links and it didn't turn out quite right. It looks like the propagation has either slowed or stopped. I just wonder if G will redo it. It just seems wrong to me. Doesn't even compute!!!
thats what im trying to figure out - i wonder if i can monetize my about page haha - i have a link page on my other blog showing same so that can work but i use the money to pay for hosting and contests and etc. so thats why im worried.
This PR update was pretty flawed. Site A: Had 5 unrelated PR4 backlinks, went to PR4 from zero. Site B: Had same 5 links but related, plus another 800 links including a PR7 and about 10 PR6 and a ton of PR5/4 etc most very related. The index page went PR3 but it got a stack of PR4 innerpages, and even the forum calendar went PR3 with no external backlinks.
its all crapped up this time and now all this have to wait for the next update in a few months to fix it all then huh - its just bad and stupid
When I first discovered all of this yesterday, my first reaction was "Oh, G has reversed it, now the lower your PR the better." Have any of you seen where the data centers were actually moving or has it stalled out??? I will be interested to see if they redo it. I will look into it tomorrow.
rofl haha - that would be awesome - time to register a thousand new domains and start up a blog and sell links haha
lol they are from my main page - no other incoming links lol - i have inner categories that are PR as well. its really weird oh well - i'll just figure something out
Yeah its kinda weird. I have a site to that has about 5backlinks and still has a PR4 on all datacenters weird but heck I dont care
i am not able to understand how google gives pr,my website www.engineeringcivil.com got pr=1 and my blog on which noone except me goes www.thegiftedsouls.com/kanwarjot has pr=2.....can any one explain???????????//
its not about backlinks anymore - google just picked a number for sites - thats what it looks like now
