good valid point made there! i don't think G penalizes sites for their type of content but rather the amount of quality content available. On a separate note, perhaps its interesting to hear why most will not allow adult, casino sites? There will be people seriously searching for quality sites related to these content, and if the sites are tastefully done with good content that people might appreciate, why not? For the record, i don't accept these sites too although i have accepted a couple of quality gambling sites
It's just that alot of them use spamming techniques, same with Porno's and viagra sites, I wouldn't want my directory to be associated with those types of sites - It could make my directory 'guilty by association'.
I agree with Dave here. It's not that gambling or adult sites with high PR don't exist. They actually do. So are other "crap" ones with rather high PR. But MANY adult related sites spam like crazy. Gambling sites are the same also. It will be very risky to take them in a general directory or even a niche directory. If they spam a lot and you take them, G can penalize your site. I would think it's a lot of rish here. No big deal with few bux from a gambling site. G can kill your directory in the worst case. Too much of gambling to me
In some case if any site have some adult thing and he is trying to submit it by free or reciprocal method then it is not accepted but when it is come to the paid listing then its ok.
I've just removed my gambling sites and refunded submitters. The reason being I don't want to be banned by PayPal. It would be good if phpld provide an alternative payment broker. Google is setting up a payments program but I would prefer not to use that.
