is it possible on the same account bidding for the same keyword (in different campaigns of course) for 2 different websites? are they going to show up both at the same time?
For 1 account, only 1 ad will show. Depend on which one has better performance (QS+CPC). If you have 2 accounts, also you can't bid same keyword between 2 accounts, it's break rules of adwords.
I think that if I have 2 accounts I'm already breaking the TOS... but in theory could I be a adwords professional and working with 2 clients who are bidding on the same keyword?
Can you have two AdWords accounts if: * One is for personal use * One is for your LLC I only have one but am curious.
From Google help: "• Can I have multiple AdWords accounts? Google maintains a high standard for our user experience and the quality of our advertising. In order to preserve the quality and diversity of ads running on Google, we don't allow advertisers or affiliates to have any of the following: Ads across multiple accounts for the same or similar businesses. Ads across multiple accounts triggered by the same or similar keywords. Individuals advertising for themselves or for their own businesses may only have a single AdWords account. However, your account may contain multiple ad groups and ads triggered by the same or similar keywords. Only client managers (such as third parties or search engine marketers) who use a My Client Center can have multiple AdWords accounts. All associated accounts must be linked to the manager's My Client Center account. If you're interested in creating a My Client Center so you can manage multiple AdWords accounts for other people, you can sign up for Google Advertising Professionals. This program provides you with free tools and training to help you manage clients successfully. • Can I show more than one of my ads on a page? To provide the best possible experience for our users and advertisers, Google does not permit multiple ads from the same or affiliated company or person to appear on the same results page. We believe that pages with multiple ads from the same company provide less relevant results and a lower quality experience for our users. Over time, multiple ads from the same source also reduce advertiser performance and lower their return on investment. We do not typically permit advertisers to manage multiple accounts featuring the same business or keywords. When we find that an account is not in compliance with our double-serving policy, we will prevent multiple ads from appearing on the same query."
so if i have 2 campaigns and i'm bidding on the same keyword it should show the one the ad that performs better (and that should cost less...)
1 account and 2 campaigns showing ads on same keyword is something not good to practice the reason is: That if u have these 2 accounts as 2 different campaigns in Google than also both will be shown on same keyword at different times.. based on the budget u have alloted... and it is very much possible that for one campaign's keyword your bid price is 0.75 and for other 1.25 without much of competition. You can have many campaigns targeting different locations with same keywords, but you can't compete yourself for same keyword. Just think about it.
