in my view paypal is more on the seller side than buyer...i have been in different situations that they had my back...and they have a good system...
i haven't tried E-gold yet....and as for MoneyBookers...their website is stupid simple and i don't like that...they don't have many cool sytems for your website like paypal...

You say that like the person had to click a radio box during the sign-up process saying "I'm a scammer" and then paypal still accepted them.

How are they supposed to know they are scammers?!

Ohh please, I got a relative that sells stuff on eBay, not digital goods, just because we live in Canada, her chargebacks are always losses for her.

Yeah but when you are scammed and need to do a charge back of your own you will be thankful.

Anyway, I do not want to argue.

    I never get scammed.

    a) I don't buy stuff on eBay
    b) I don't pay first
    c) I don't sell stuff on eBay
    d) umm...

Very true. However.. for paypal their verification process is more strict (egold is non exsistant?) and you can file claims.. however there's always a way to go around it..

    Paypal == Amazing
True they have probably taken upper $XXX in transfer fees from me
And have been chargebacked two or three times, but otherwise it is hassle free

PayPal's the biggest firm known - if MoneyBookers were, everyone would be using them.

Only because IBM bought it in 1999 ;)
Also because Ebay uses only paypal as a payment system!

Paypal is a great framework, the only problem is with some bad hats who signed up for it by using fake identity by pretending to be from a Paypal approved country and using fake documentations such as a VCC for verification. Some are even underaged members who have total disregards for the terms and conditions or people who just ignore rules which mess things up. I guess that as long as you are huge, there would be people who would tries to foil any protections and aim to cheat.

It is like the US Dollars are a heavily used currency in international exchanges and there are scam artists which cheats using US Dollars, that does not make the US Dollar or the US Central Bank bad in that respect.
