    NO SHIT SHERLOCK!
    that is my main argument.
why don't you go back and read the thread instead of jumping in at the last minute to make corny jokes.

Why don't you go figure out the domain business and how everything works before you post any more?

For customer support I do think that godaddy is the best.
I cannot fault the company. Heck I would work for them if they could pay me what I make.
I make Godaddy my primary registar since I know they will be stable and secure. Every business has its issues no matter what it is

Prior to registar of any domain I have learned to always check the WhoIs and Trademarks. I think this should be common practice.

    A few minutes later?

Can you really be as naive and/or intellectually challenged as you sound?

Do you not realize you've just provided evidence for MY point, not yours?

What exactly do you think your "little test" proves?

    maybe you're the retarded one.
your main argument is that all the godaddy bashers gathered together at an event and decided to just spread false rumors about godaddy over the internet for the rest of our lives.

your other argument is that I registered a domain that was already taken.

well I just proved to you that I didn't register a domain that was already taken because it would of been impossible for me to do so.
you can't make any excuses for godaddy,
you cant say it takes time to update the servers or anything.
cause as you can see with my test,
I tried to register the same name I registered with moniker in less than a minute.

    hence,
the domain I registered a few days ago was taken away from me cause it's a high keyword value domain.

Yeah, that MUSt be it. GoDaddy is just conspiring to steal your domain.

I really think you should sue GoDaddy. In fact, I think you should sue everyone, including me.

Please promise to post back here regarding the progress of all this litigation. Enquiring minds need to know... :D

Back in my registrar days, I handled this very issue only twice AFAIR. In both
instances, the customer completed the process, but eventually was emailed a
    refund in full.

Both believed we were doing something shady. I simply apologized and stood
firm in our position that we aren't, but I'd gladly find out what happened since
our systems that time didn't readily explain.

Eventually I found out that once in a blue moon, the VeriSign Registry doesn't
report accurately when a domain name is available and when it isn't. Took me
a little more time, but I gathered enough to conclude that things just weren't
    in sync with one another.

So I explained to both customers what happened, and that we really couldn't
do anything about it. One accepted and thanked me, the other threatened to
    sue and hung up.

We never heard anything more from the other.

My point here is that no registrar can guarantee 100% your registration will be
successful, even though you manage to finish the process. If problems occur,
the least they can do is refund your money in full.

That's what Go Daddy at least did in techblology's case. If anything, you can
press Go Daddy to at least investigate further and eventually give a detailed
explanation as to how or why that happened.

But if you insist they take that domain name from whoever it's registered with
right now, they're not doing any of that sort. You may sue, but your chances
of winning are extremely nil without any actionable claims.

Worse case scenario? You lose, and Go Daddy can sue you afterwards per the
terms of the contract you originally agreed to.

Up to you whether it's worth it to press on or not.

You are absolutely right in your own mind. You should sue Godaddy and everyone who doesn't agree with you - i.e. the other conspiracists in this worldwide plot to prevent your march to global internet domination.

Actually, you should also sue everyone who owns a dictionary word domain name because they clearly registered it to stop you from getting it.

It's clear from your site that you have an unparalleled ability to copy and paste - this should stand you in good stead when submitting those legal forms.

    nice rebuttals minstrel and fox.
you can't logically explain yourself anymore since I shut you both down with my test,
so the only thing yall can do is divert off topic.
    good job!

I wish that was the case but not in this situation.
there is just no way that somebody would register that name on the same exact day that I did.
I have receipts that I registered and it should be in my possession.
I'm gonna wait and hear godaddy's explaination first.

Oh, but it is possible. It's been reported both on and offline.

Unfortunately your receipt no longer means anything, especially when you've
agreed to this term in your contract with Go Daddy:

    http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/legal_agreements/show_doc.asp?pageid=REG_SA

You have a chance of getting a detailed explanation. But you won't be able
to compel Go Daddy to get that for you.

Oh, I've seen worse threads than this.

dont make a fool of yourself by taking any legal action.

There is no way u could have registered a domain which has been already registered by someone else. So prolly u were just unlucky or SLOW in placing the order.
