I was wondering if anyone has any new opinions on this topic - I've held an LV account for quite awhile but the quality of the incoming links is a big source of frustration, as my site is a community hub and a lot of my incoming LV links come from generic or heavily adsensed pages that are totally off-topic... Is anyone running both (in different directories or on different sites of course) who can speak to the subject? I've read older threads but many of them seemed to conclude with "whichever works better for you" which is not quite as detailed as I'd hoped. I've been considering switching to co-op for some time but I'm pretty nervous about the effect that may have on my current ranking (which is reasonably good) Thanks for any info edit: I'm particularly interested in any points about the relative quality of co-op sites vs LV sites as well as effect on SERPs.
Not sure exactly what you are looking for in terms of additional information, but basically the DP Coop is going to give you even less relevant links than LV. LV attempts to categorize sites, but often fails even at doing that - however - DP is completely random.
Having a bad day Fryman? You seem a little testy. I did RTFM, and I also searched the threads. Many people said that they were planning to run both or were already doing so. I was simply asking for any new opinions - I'm sorry if that bothers you. I guess I was hoping for something like this: "I switched from LV to Coop and while my rankings did x, traffic from Coop links did y" After all, people don't use Coop or LV to save the planet, they do so to increase traffic or position, both of which are easily (and often) quantifiable. Thanks Phynder, for the info.
