All things being equal, which one do you think would rank better in Google: cell-phone.com or cellphone.com? Also, which one sounds better? Any response and thoughts are appreciated.
cell-phone.com is better than cellphone.com cellphone will be see as single word. And cell-phone is two words So if people who search cell and phone, cell-phone will be better. The example you can see www.made-in-china.com
Thanks a LOT buddy! Rep added. I am not planning to have a cell-phone domain, but I used that as an example. So I will probably buy something like cell-phone.com rather than cellphone.com. Thanks again!
On a side note Google is plagued with cell-phone MFA sites so hope yours offers some content to your surfers
in terms of SEOs no it's no different. but interm of easy to remember cellphone.com is easier coz people night forget or dont know they have to add "-".
but for the blog name i dont mind much about havng "-" in the blog url name though. Reason just because i dont focus much on blog and most of visitor come from search engine anyway. or maybe i should change it too.
I would avoid the "-" it looks bad and isnt as brandable. Also a strong correlation exsits between the number of hyphens and the quality of site content. I dont know how search engines work - but it seems like somebody at google might be tempted to tweak the dial on this at some point.
