But what do you expect. You have really to shine amongst the crowd of bloggers with your stuff to get good traffic. Or make some investements.
Blogs are no different than "regular" web-sites unless you're using a free blog host. Like any site you need good content that makes people want to come back and tell their friends.
Just create your article with your targeted keywords. If you get a nice pick of keywords that will surely give you higher traffic and it gets a better rankings on google. That's a good start that you can have higher traffic on google.
If you have a unique and very good quality content, there will be tons of traffic come to you from many search engine. if you do nothing with content ofcourse nobody will come.
No offense, but I hear this all the time. Everybody echos this. Perhaps it's time to define "good content" so that people who obviously aren't creating it can get started doing so?
Good content = good current information on your topic -- updated regularly. Submit to a bunch of good SEO friendly directories in relevant categories with category page PR and even get a few link exchanges with relevant sites with good PR on their links page and not over 30 links on the page (the fewer the better for passing along PR) - definitely no link farms with lots of useless, unrelated links. Linking out to a few topical authority sites with very high PR helps a bit too.
