$9,600 Monthly Gross Income - TV on PC Website Business w/ 4400+ Members!

Discussion in 'Sites' started by webgenesis, Apr 26, 2007.

    Hi All,

I am selling one of my high earning websites (with the PPC marketing plan) which has been grossing $9,600+ a month, (monthly net is approx. $6,000+) for me for a BIN on Digital Point or to highest bidder on Ebay. The site is called PcTvPal, has a 3 month ALEXA rating of 243,754, has over 4400 members, and has been running since May 2006. The link is below:

    http://www.pctvpal.com

In a nutshell, this site offers customers from all over the world the opportunity to watch streaming television from their pc computer or their laptop. They can watch sports, movies, news, music videos, etc. from PcTvPal. This site is VERY popular for sports, especially football, soccer, and cricket. I have had GREAT success marketing it on Google Adwords and Yahoo in the US, Canada, and UK.

I have placed TONS of information with PROOF of my earnings, how much is spent on advertising, sitemeter & traffic logs, as well as other information on the Ebay auction. The link to the Ebay auction is:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...E:B:RTQ:US:1&viewitem=&item=180110307771&rd=1

The Ebay auction will be ending this Monday, April 30th at 5:30pm (pacific time). Three days into the auction it already has over 60 people watching.

I will set the BIN for $47,000 on this board, which is very generous considering the fact that online businesses should be sold for 7 to 10x gross monthly income.. of course this price is negotiable (PM me your offer). All offers must be made by 11:59 PM (pacific) on Sunday evening, April 29th. and payment may be made through Escrow.com

Keeping with Ebay's strict policies, I have disabled the Buy buttons on the website until the end of the auction. PLEASE read the Ebay listing as it should answer 90% of any questions you may have...

If it doesn't answer your questions, please feel free to PM me with any questions you may have and I will happily answer them.

Again, the BIN is $47,000 US on this board and the link for the EBay auction is below:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MESE:IT&viewitem=&item=180110307771&rd=1&rd=1

    Thanks,

    Daniel

Have you ever thought about putting this on an affiliate network like clickbank or somewhere else to gain affiliates?

    Mucho respect mate.

It was really good to read your ebay description there, I really like reading about success like that. I want to do something like this, I've got loads of HUGE potential ideas, I've been working with http://www.pocketsexclips.com and it can pull in 1-4000 uniques and 20,000 PV a day, with practically no advertising, I actually am keeping it 'low profile' at the minute because my hosting caps me at 100GB a day, and I'm not in a financial position to sort it out, (pending other projects feeding from pocketsexclips).

Anyway just wanted to show my appreciation for people like yourself.

    Well Done!

I'm not sure how this can be legal. Even if you are taking the stream of the game from the station's website they paid for the rights to broadcast that game and you did not. Am I missing something here? I'm sure using this feed on your website for free is one thing but profiting from it (especially as much as you are) is bound to get some attention.

I agree about the legality of broadcasting MLB or NFL games over some stream that the MLB or NFL holds the rights to. How can that be legal?

Thank you boss! Much luck with all your website and marketing success & everybody reading this thread. Billions of dollars are made every day over the Internet and I am willing to bet if we make just 1% of 1% of that, we'll all be millionaires.

My philosophy is if everybody else is making good money online, why shouldn't I or anybody else who isn't afraid to work hard and bust it!:)

The streams that are shown on Pctvpal are shown by their respective owners (the television stations) freely on the Internet via a MMS link. If they did not want the public to view it, they would not have it on the World Wide Web.

Satellite Soft is arguably the biggest affiliate on Clickbank with their 'Satellite Tv on PC' and their software is very similiar to mine I believe and they have been around for a LONG time, and have had no problems.

I have been running and marketing my site since May 2006 (almost a year) and have never had any issues or complaints or anything from anyone. :D

I don't understand it. Why would you sell on eBay? eBay is like a flea market, only cheap people like mua would buy on eBay. I know the bid is currently at only around $2,000 and that it'll increase dramatically minutes before auction ends, but are you really going to accept the bid even if it doesn't get anywhere near your bin? If I owned such a nice site like yourself, I'd definitely try a different alternative.

Maybe Ebay is not the best, but better than DP anyway.
On DP, there's almost no serious bid. Instead, it's questions with one goal: breaking down the item for sale. On Ebay, there are genuine buyers most of the time..

    Cheers Dude.

If you are going to do this via ebay then be sure, if you haven't already, to get this Homepage Exposure also get a big reserve on there mate, the people above are right, you don't wanna sell this baby for just a few thousand, it's probably worth $80-90K at least.

So my question is if the site you said did so well on Clickbank why did you not opt to join it or another affiliate network?

PcTvPal does well, there's no question at that. The ALEXA rating is almost 12 months strong and no fool would spend over $10,000 on traffic on a site that doesn't convert... I'm sure you'll agree.

I have several other sites that do pretty well and have never put them on affiliates, I guess I'm just used to promoting my own sites by myself, but in the future I probably will be looking into implementing affiliates into my business plan.

I fully agree... a business or any item for that fact is worth only what genuine buyers are willing to pay for it.

You look at a site and either like or don't, and if you like it and have the funds to pay for your investment, you purchase it. If you don't have the money, you buy something in your price range.

The current bid on the site is $4,100 and there are over 2 days left, 91 people watching. Any interested folks can PM a Buy-It-Now offer by tommorow (Sunday) evening on DP... or you can participate in the bidding frenzy that will take place on Monday evening on Ebay.
