Never use a link like that to validate your info. That is the type email all phishers use. If there is any question in your mind about the validity of your key, go directly to the Invision Power Services and make contact from there.

Yes the email is real. If you downloaded IPB from a warez forum then thats the reason you got that email.

That is completely real. If you pirated it, you're busted man. If not, than verify the information, or send them the email. It's all at http://www.invisionpower.com/ which should be a further clue that it's legitimate. The lesson here: don't pirate web software.

I've experimented with nulled codes in the past just to test out the functions, but there is no way in hell that I would run one live! Can your nerves take it? Probably not, you're posting your fears here. If you like the code then go and buy the real McCoy! I really like IPB, but not affording it financially, and I think they discontinued the freebie version. Be safe not sorry. If you have nulled and are running it openly, you need to take that sukka down. Plus, you can't get the updates and stuff.

As for the email letter being legitimate, I don't know, but it doesn't seem very professional!

PS. Yeah, it is dangerous :)

If you're running a nulled copy of IPB and it's hosted in any developed country, your host can be threatened by Invision Power Services and your site will be taken down and your contact details can be released to Invision.

It's illegal. It's dangerous. If I were you, I'd take it down immediately.

Unless bought a license, both *Null and Retail* version are illegal. So, better get a license or try just might close you hosting.

Most of the warez sites are hosted on offshore servers.

If you want my advice, take it down ASAP. You are risking a lot running a live nulled script!
