Hi, I have a new site and it went straight into supplemental. Is this normal? The site in question is all of 2 months old. What I can do to get back into the main index? Thanks
Hi there, You can do the following to pull your site out of the supplemental index. 1. Original content to every page. 2. Unique title, description of every page. 3. Your site should not have pages like this http://abc.com pages (without www). You can fix this problem by using the .htacces file (301 redirect). 4. Incoming related links to every page of your site from the good PR sites. 5. Make a sitemap.html file of your website and upload it. After implementing all the above things then wait for few weeks and your webpages should be out of the supplemental index slowly. Hope this helps. Regards bushib
Thanks bushib. What is the method of determining, if a site is in the supplementary index? I mean, when I type my site-name directly into Google, it doesn't label them supplemental. But when I do site:mysite.com *** -view:adghasdtrb , all my pages show up. I am a newbie, so please excuse if I am missing something. I tried using Google to find more info about getting out of the supplemental-index, but to no avail.
Hi there, TO VIEW SUPPLEMENTAL PAGES site:www.yoursitename.com *** -view TO VIEW WITHOUT SUPPLEMENAL PAGES site:www.yoursitename.com -allinurl:www.yoursitename.com The methods which I mentioned above should help in pulling out of your site from the supplemental index.
