Hello, I am here, i want to hack digitalpoint forum database.... anyone who can help me? Because i think its legal to hack and sell it as i can see here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=311465 what if i got db and sell it? can dp take action against me? if yes what they can do? suggest me
yes, because if someone site got hacked, then i can see that they cant take any action against that person who is selling it illegally am i right?
You can take legal action for stealing copyrighted materials... and you could probably produce a charge for every separate topic or post. Defacement if anything was broken is also a crime. There are many things he can be gotten on, with abuse and criminal charges in each. Identity theft could be one since he obviously got a password through brute force... I am not sure of the total legalities but I am sure legal action for hacking can take place. Only one problem though - the place he hacked was a Warez site! Warez is illegal in itself - so I highly doubt it would be reported. If DP was hacked and the massive gigabyte or two database was stolen - Shawn would go Jedi on his ass.
This is not the database you are looking for *waves hand* Even if it was reported, should anything happen, there is likely a chance those that reported it could have action taken against them for the content of that database. in fact, even if the host was notified, there is a chance the site would be nixed (as most hosts don't allow such things, though rarely check). It's like filling out a police report because someone stole your pot *smirk* generally just not wise in the long run.
yeah, thats what i am asking... if i hacked digitalpoint, where will they report me? i dont see a place where they can report about me seems like nothing gonna happen to me
yeah, because that person sold that site db, no steps can be taken against him... he is selling hacked stuff here in dp... i learnt from this its legal to sell hacked stuff
He could report you to copyright infringement offices, your ISP that he could track, your website hosts should you ever post any of it - oh and international law agreements about copyright cover 100+ countries at the present time. He could also hunt you down and Jedi-slice you in two with a lawyersaber.

Is that legal ? I think you should report that thread if they are posting some warz sites. As for i know DP does not allow warz here. you guys should report that thread to the staff well its already CLOSED !
Well lately we see alot of warez or pirated scripts for sale her eon DP. I hope the mods and admins pose more restriction and control better. About hacking Dp- well its not some small warez web site its a stablished business web site means no matter you in India or china they gonna come after you and who knows what gonna happen then
