Yeah, it would be hard to believe that so many Japanese don't know what dogs and sheep look like. But it was fun as a gag story

I hate rumors and falsified information - and the people who believe them. Some people believe Mister Rogers was a Marine Sniper - he never served in the military and his whereabouts are confirmed for the entire duration of his life.

Same with Captain Kangaroo and the likes. There was no Johnny Carson interview in which another actor stated that the man behind Kangaroo was a hero - in fact old Cap never saw combat.
