Why did my Pagerank suddenly drop to 0?

I tried searching for my site in Google. It's still there. It's not banned.

What was the previous PR and what site are we talking about?

could just be a glitch in the toolbar. How long has it been and did you try the different data-centres to make sure it's across the board?

If it is zero everywhere, you could have lost whatever link was giving you the PR.

i think it shows previous PR for your site. it allways happens before the page rank update. i guess the previous PR for your site is 0 ?

The past 1 or 2 weeks have been shakey for PR rank. It seems Google is doing a dance and updating their index results and Page Rank numbers.

If it dropped recently its because their is a PR update underway, give it a few more days to pan out.

I've got sites, previously PR6, and PR5 that are now PR0 (they haven't been PR0 for many years). It's nothing to worry about. Just a PR update.

What we need to do is our PR still do not change back to normal and remain to 0. Is there any proper channel for us to lodge complaint?

If the average PR at livepr.raketforskning.com is 4.5, does it mean PR4 or PR5?

My PR has also dropped to 0, was previously at 4.

I know that there is an update underway so hopefully it will come back up. However I have recently changed my site over the Wordpress. I also noticed that I have no backlinks on google:

    link:thethoughts.co.uk

My site is still indexed in google though. Could the lack of backlinks cause a problem with my PR?

l totaly agree with him, This is Just a Googles idiot Page Rank Update. They Do every 3 month. DOnt care about it much.

So You Should care about Backlinks and Link popularity than pr.

Most of my domains also lost some of the page ranks. l also made panic at first but its ok l got used. l giwe more importance to link building and link exchanges... You should do the same.

google is no longer showing the true number of backlinks using the link: feature. If you are a user of google sitemaps, they will show your backlinks in there.

    Hope that helps

as for updating PR, one of my new sites is currently PR3(was PR0) and iwebtool says it will be PR5.

My other site has gone from PR4 to PR0 :(

shame. there is always winners and loosers in the world of PR :D

    Ok thanks for the reply.

Seems that I don't have enough backlinks to use the iwebtool. Also, I do use sitemaps; but it say I don't have any backlinks under the "Links" section.

I know that a few sites certainly do link to mine - most of those site are PR4 or PR5. Any ideas why this could be?

I just remembered that I had the htaccess file pointing to the http// but that has no links to it. All the backlinks point to http//www

Would Google see this and think that I have no backlinks and this be the reason why my PageRank has gone down to 0?
