Wikipedia has an enormous number of inbound links.

    Google's algorithm rewards inbound links.

If you think so, vote for them (i.e. link to them).

well let me take up an example ...

if we type "SEO" in google search bar ,,we can find that wiki holds 2 and 3 positions.

but i feel seochat.com at 4th postition offers much more information thank wiki

It will hurt them because big sites are dominating ghrt ereulst top much so the quality of results drops.

But there results are still the best in town imho

I keep hearing the same stuff over and over again and I keep telling people its about time we Give Wikipedia a taste of its own medicine. Unless and until we as webmaster accept the responsibility that it is due to us that wikipedia has reached this state and unless we do some thing, its only going to get worse!

nope google will chage it algorythm at some point to protect the integirty of its results.

Google is getting too close to becoming a internal search for wikipedia for its own good.

Ever used wikipedia's search function? Wikipedia has neither the programing or server resources to put together a decent search engine for offwiki stuff and no real desire to do so.

I don't think they've been unfair. This is a very established site with a nice balance of backlinks, traffic, and consistently updated content. I make no claim about the accuracy of that content, however.
