I see these meet ups as something that can be as formal as a conference presentation or as informal as meeting after the conference. Even though I like conferences, based on many blog posts by Shoemoney and our first meet up, I don't mind if it's the informal discussion around a big table. I wouldn't mind seeing this evolve to the point where we have WEMUG (Web Entrepneur Meet Up Group ) conferences held at the Staples Center. The great thing would be remeniscing about when we all could meet around one or two tables.
I don't see why we couldn't get it there. It just takes time and dedication. and WEMUG? lol hilarious.
I used to go to SCCFUG meetings (Southern California ColdFusion Users Group) and I've heard of other user group meetings like MMUG, JUG, etc. Web entrepeneurs is general enough to include people who are coders, tool sellers, forum operators, site builders, domain marketers, web hosts, ringtone gurus, SEO's, SEM's, ...well you get my point and WEMUG is memorable, brandable, etc. I just bought wemug.org, it wasn't taken, image that!
awesome , sounds like well have a tight group and our own site! well i hope to get a good turn out this time. and WEMUG shirts are on my mind already. i have a print screen business i can use for the shirts. we just need an awesome logo.
Figures. I checked and there are plans. Pity. Haven't been to Spectrum in about 3 years. My daughter loved it last time. Going to have to see what can be done, but with plans in San Diego at 1:00, it's pretty tough.

Anything and everything. We are still fairly informal, last time we discussed areas that we each new well: proxies, Drupal, arbitrage, SEO, content, Shoemoney t-shirts, online and offline promotion. Bring your questions and your best tips (that you are willing to share).
SEO is something i really want to talk about in this next meeting. as well as throw ideas around on how to improve everyones main websites.
I've had progress in SEO on my main site since last meeting and after reading Randy's e-book. On some sites I still can't figure out how to move it forward.

I'm only in SoCal for a couple more weeks....then I'll make the big announcement of who I'm going to work for so everyone I see this weekend, expect it only to be a one-time meetup for me through DP, although you may see me around other places

Actually, this oasis of stores of stuff you don't need (neon stores, skeleton shops, palm reading, NASCAR simulators, etc) has added stores with useful things like clothes and storage bins and the two biggest stores are Nordstrom and Target. I'll chip in for the second flip flop assuming it's not a Rainbow or Teva.
