Paypal SSN

I have a verified account with my credit card, and am looking to lift all withdrawal limits. This requires me giving my Social security number. My question is, has anyone else done this?

Because if so, I'd like to know how fast they can verify my SSN. Is it instant?

My other option is to have them charge my account with a small amount, and then I find it on my statement and report it back to them- which can take up to a week.

I'm looking for the fastest way possible :D

I did the deposit into the bank account thing. It was there in about 2 days.

You don't always have to wait for your statement, you can go to the bank and ask someone to look it up for you (or print screen the account) or some banks you can probably even call and they will tell you over the phone.

I have online banking, so it was very easy to look up.

I stayed away from the SSN cus in this day and age you never know where it will end up.

Dont do hurry. Better be careful and dont enter/give them false info making your account eventually limited.

That's true I guess. I heard that people who use the deposit method usually get their account limited by Paypal until they can send a copy of their drivers license or utility bill.

Don't want to have my account limited for a month for them to sort it out...

My account hasn't been limited at all. But then again I have done all the steps they ask for to verify. (except SSN, never supplied that).

inworx, not sure what you meant by false information, but to clarify I was not recommending at all to falsely provide info, that's fraud, and its wrong.

Interesting. So should I go for the deposit then?

I'm caught between the SSN and deposit...

AS per my info, deposit will just verify your account ... but they will still put a limit of $500 withdrawl per month on your account. Till you provide your SSN, it will not go up.

Thanks for that! The only reason I want to get this extra verification is to lift it.

Out of curiousity, what is the limit after this? Unlimited? I can still get my account limited by withdrawing too much right?

Hmmm, I haven't experienced that. Our company withdrawls well over $500 a month. Anyway, maybe it is different for business accounts.

You may want to consider contacting Paypal directly and ask them. As each account type may have different terms, etc.
