so I take it there is a lot of money to be made in affiliates? which granted I can lose a lot of money as we speak cause I'm paying it to go through adwords I have my max cpc set on 50 cents, but my pay is 20 dollars per lead.

I would suggest using Yahoo and MSN first.

And 50 cents is quite a bit of spendage for a beginner... But if you're at least gaining leads, then you know there's potential.

1 is cellulite lotion 22 dollars per order which is only 4.95 shiping, and the user gets 3 free months.

12 dolllars per lead for ringers.

now how much do you guys make, or is this just a waste of time?

Hehe, these types of threads crack me up.

This is like asking, "Is there any money in promoting credit cards?". Of course there is if you have or know how to get the traffic. Ringtones are not dead if you rank high on a huge variety of terms. The conversions are still decent actually. Mortgage is not even close to dead it is just competetive. We do a buttload in that area.

It almost seems like youa re really asking, "If I am not really very good at marketing/seo/ppc, can I make easy money in a competetive area"? Think about it. Also, think about talking with the peoplle who are making money, or claim to be. Many of them have MEGA sites that get 100,000 organic visitors daily.

Lastly, mfa sites are still thriving, although you have to watch yourself a bit :)

There is always money to be made with ringtones. Whether you'll make money with ringtones is up to you. But the truth is that this "niche" has become quite saturated over the past years.

There is still tons of money to be made in ringtones. My azoogle rep tells me that half of azoogles business is ringtones. I made $1800.00 profit in Jan from ringtones. No you cannot duplicate what I did. I work for a local marketing company in phoenix and we have a large network of people. I get free advertising and the inside deal. But my point is there is money to be made in many things, I working on web proxies at the moment and making money. There is still plenty of money left to be made in ringtones, look at all the new cell phones that get sold everyday, they have to get net ringtones from somewhere!

My advice is dont do this haphazardly. Ringtones are not a get rich quick deal, you have to work at them. Do the research, be smart, try and tap a piece of a untaped or very low taped niche in the ringtone market. There is not gauranteed success. However Thomas Eddison failed 10,000 times before he invented the light bulb. Or as he says he didn't fail he just found 9,999 ways that didnt work, so he kept trying till he found the one that did work.

my mistake I checked my record and it was only $1600 in Jan from azoogle from ringtones. I have several Sole Prop businesses that I run my stuff under and I run this one under Cascades Web Development. Feel free to verify by looking at my check since no one will probably believe me. http://www.freedomnetwork.info/az/azoogle_check.jpg

Please dont make it sound like $1800/ mo is big bucks on this forum cause its not.

P.S. This is my first month marketing ringtones.

While I agree that 1800 isn't alot, it is alot for this forum (overall)
This forum is mostly filled with new guys who haven't a clue what to do.

$200 would be a lot for me... That pays for gas for nearly 2 months.

As the stakes increase, the value of money decreases it seems.

I am not saying its big bucks to this forum. Although it is to me, Im with bluebobbo. However my point was simply to say that there is still "some" money to be made in ringtones. Whether or not $1800 is a lot to some or not, even to big players its still at least a meager ammount. It will buy a nice dinner for a big player, or for me and bluebobbo it will pay the rent and get us a nice dinner at Mcdonalds. :)

Besides we are all on the same team here at DP, or at least I would like to think most of us are all for helping others. I am anyway, just trying to help not hype. :)
